Fine Dining in the Slow Food Tradition on the Cabot Trail (Reservations strongly advised)

In 2006, the restaurant was named to the prestigious Where to Eat in Canada, Canada's national restaurant guide.
The dining room specializes in serving a 'Cape Breton Fresh' cuisine prepared according to the “Slow Food” traditions. Almost everything is created in our own kitchen using organically, locally produced food wherever and whenever possible.
Earlene was one of 25 restaurateurs selected to attend "Terra Madre", sponsored by Slow Food International in Turin, Italy in 2006 and 2008. Local producers and growers deliver organic produce fresh to our door.
Dinner is served every evening in the Chanterelle's elegant dining room or on the screened verandah between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. On ceilidh nights, we start dinner at 5:30. The menu changes nightly depending on what is fresh. However, we always offer a vegetarian, non-vegetarian and seafood entree with seasonal vegetables and freshly baked artisan bread.
Entree prices range from $20 to $28. Soup, salad, dessert, and coffee or tea are served a la carte.
A four-course dinner is offered prix-fixe for $38 (vegetarian) or $45 (seafood and non-vegetarian). Every effort is made to accommodate special dietary requirements. Guests are asked to let us know of such requirements in advance.

Guests can choose to have two, three, or four courses. While outside guests are welcome, Inn and cottage guests are given seating preference.
The dining room features a fully licensed bar, offering a variety of organically grown and non-organic wines, mixed drinks, single malt scotches, domestic and imported beers.
